Presentation on Nathan Glantz to NEPCA

I had the pleasure of presenting at the Northeast Popular Culture Association’s virtual conference. The panel included fascinating topics by engaging speakers. As an independent researcher still finding my way, it was a privilege to join the discussion with these thoughtful scholars.

The presentation, “Nathan Glantz and the Saxophone in Late Imperial Russia,” drew on a post from this website and a follow-up post, along with my other research materials. You can read the slides below. After the presentation, I wrote the notes at the bottom of each slide to expand on the slides.

The actual presentation covered more ground with additional context and was more informal, so these are just the broad points. I hope you still enjoy it.
