A largely overlooked but trendsetting band. Try “Somebody’s Crazy About You,” “Sittin’ On Top Of The World,” and “Rhythm Of The Day.”
Agreed. “Rhythm Of The Day” is actually one of my favorite compositions, and the Gorman band does indeed play the #$!! out of it. To Amazon!
It is Ross Gorman’s Earl Carroll Vanities band, but I hear Red Nichols’ “Five Pennies” style, especially in the last minute or so. I hear a break by Miff at 2:04 and then he goes on noodling for a while..{Miff also noodles before his break].
